 New Jersey Trail Ride Association (NJTRA) is a competitive horse club whose goal is to promote the sport of competitive trail riding while protecting the welfare of horses.

What's new this year? Junior riders' entry fees are greatly reduced. Joining NJTRA at any time during the year will afford riders the NJTRA member reduced ride rates. Please see individual ride information for the member versus non-member rates.
Also, you can register your horse for NJTRA Year End Awards any time during the calendar year. See the Membership application on this website to sign up a horse for year end awards and to become a member.
We are a member of the Eastern Competitive Trail Ride Association(ECTRA) and have been organizing rides since the 1970s. Again this year, NJTRA is proud to sponsor a wide variety of ECTRA sanctioned competitive trail rides and drives, training clinics and AERC/ECTRA sanctioned endurance rides of varying distances.  The sport of competitive trail riding requires many volunteers. An event that has 40 competitors needs almost as many volunteers. If you are interested in learning more about the sport of competitive trail riding consider volunteering for one of our events.
